FAQ, Frequently Asked Question
1. When do I have to book?
If you want to book specific dates, make sure you book as soon as possible so that we can reserve the dates you want to travel. If you are flexible you can book with short notice.
2. Do I have to book in advance?
If possible, book before departure, as the ship might be fully booked. For bookings made at check-in a service fee of € 14 is charged.
3. What kind of booking information do you need?
We need the first name and surname, nationality, children(s) age of all passengers travelling with us. We also need crossing, travel date and time and one contact person with address, phone number. Please provide us with a valid travel document (passport, ID with picture) on the route from/to Poland. Please provide us also with details of the length and height of individual vehicles if you are boarding with a trailer or in a camper van.
4. Is there an electricity connection to my vehicle on the car deck?
We cannot provide power connections for motor homes and electric vehicles on board our ships.
5. Do the 2-berth cabins include lower beds?
On board the ships Peter Pan/Nils Holgersson all 2-berth cabins have lower beds; on the Nils Dacke/Robin Hood, only the front cabins have lower beds, and on the Tom Sawyer/Huckleberry Finn only the 4-berth cabins (also available as 2-berth) have lower beds.
6. Can I pay with Euros in Sweden?
The currency in Sweden is the Swedish Krona SEK. The Euro is also accepted in some places but at a disadvantageous rate of exchange. You can exchange money on board to get krona or use your cash card at any cashpoint machine in Sweden.
7. What kind of first aid and medical supplies are available on board?
Our nautical officers aboard the TT-Line ships are trained in providing first aid treatment. Each ship have a treatment room with all important medication and a special emergency case, which can be given to a doctor in case of emergency. Our ships sail closely along the coast, so if you become ill or have an accident, we can get other ships or a helicopter to transfer you ashore, if necessary.
8. Is it possible for me to get a reimbursement of my ticket price?
For reimbursement of ticket price or other booked and not used services for justified reasons, please put in a written claim to TT-Line (Zum Hafenplatz 1, 23570 Lübeck-Travemünde, Germany) within 2 months after returning from your journey.
9. What kind of vehicles does TT-Line transport?
For the passage fare to apply, vehicles must have third-party insurance in Germany, Sweden or Poland. For vehicles without a license plate and/or driver, other prices apply. Motor vehicles have to be licensed for road traffic and may only be used for touristic purposes. The vehicle must be roadworthy and safe, and be in running condition (i.e. does not need to be towed). Under our passage fares, one vehicle is allowed per driver. If you want to transport more than one vehicle, please contact our freight department in Travemünde: +49 (0)4502 801-82 or in Rostock at +49 (0)381 67079-31.
10. Are bicycles included in the travel fare?
Bicycles are included in the fare if they are transported as roof-rack luggage. If you are travelling by bike we offer a bicycle tariff.
11. Is luggage included in the price?
Your own personal luggage that you bring with you and carry yourself is included in the ticket price.
12. Can I take pets on board with me?

13. Is it possible to telephone on board?
On board our ships you can use your mobile phone. There is mobile network coverage for the most part of the crossing.
14. How do I pay on board?
On board our TT-Line ships accepted the following credit cards: Master Card, American Express and VISA. Your purchase will be settled in Euros. You can also pay cash in Euro and SEK. Money can be exchanged on board.
15. Which ships are used by TT-Line?
An overview of the 6 TT-Line ferries can be found here. To guarantee this flexible timetable some departures per day will be operated by the Stena Line ferries Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Skåne. We have blocked capacities for our TT-Line-clients onboard of these ferries. Our customers will enjoy TT-Lines booking service, will receive booking confirmation and documentation by TT-Line and of course our customers can collect BonusCard points and redeem them for free transportations and cabins on these departures also.
16. How much fuel can I take with me in reserve canisters?
You can take up to 60 litres of fuel with you in a maximum of 3 canisters (20 l each).
17. Is smoking on board permitted?
All cabins and public areas on our ferries are non-smoking areas. In this way we are complying with the efforts being made across Europe and with the prevailing laws aimed at protecting non-smokers. Designated smoking areas are provided on some vessels for those guests who do not want to go without their cigarettes entirely.
18. Is there a reduced price for seniors, students or pupils?
Yes the price is reduced by 50 % for the standard tariff (without vehicle). A proof at check-in is requested.
